This will, probably never get answered but I gotta try.Ĭouldnt cuz it needs Games for Windows Live.
I did exactly as the video told me to do, although I didnt download the optional file, and yet whenever I type in GetFOSEVersion, it instead just tells me GetFOSEVersion not found.Īlright. Steam overlay will work this way, ENBoost starts fine and so does the 4GB flagged Fallout.exe. If Steam is not running it will start it automatically (but better to have it running before starting). Why all the work I always start the game (and Skyrim, FONV, Oblivion too) via the FOSE loader without having it renamed Really no need to rename the executables. I've tried several compatibility modes and it doesn't change anything.Fallout 3 Fose Steam By tortuwardisg1977 Follow | Publicįallout 3 Fose Steam Download The Optional I fear this game is just crap on modern hardware. I'll try the patch and report back tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath. UPDATE: just tried it quick by fiddling with the ini and it doesn't seem to be the issue.
I'll go from 8 to 4 to 2 and see if it changes anything. This Fallout issue seems to be CPU related, but I haven't checked the loads. It runs MGS5, which is amazingly optimized, maxxed at 1080p with 8x AA and 8x transparancy AA on 1 card at 60 fps. My rig is more than capable of running the game with AA, but the shoddy engine could be to blame. I'm going to test my multisampling theory before trying the patch to see if it's causing the problem. If I install it will it work with my current save or do I have to start fresh? I have not, but reviewing the notes the restoring of cut content/shifting of some quest rewards makes me want to try it out. I used to mod and play fallout 3 and I've never even heard of this issue. It may too late to help your current character but have you tried installing the unofficial patch? It fixes a whole lot of issue and it may fix yours.
